Scania is currently undergoing a significant transformation, evolving from a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a provider of comprehensive and sustainable transport solutions. If you're excited by problem-solving and enjoy working on a variety of tasks, with a focus on flows, optimization, and logistics, this role could be perfect for you.
About Us: OSP - Packaging Development is a central function at Scania, responsible for shaping the global packaging strategy for both Scania and TRATON. Our mission is to ensure minimal environmental impact, high quality, and cost-effective logistics throughout our supply chain. As part of the TRATON Group, we collaborate closely with other brands to maximize our collective potential.
Within OSP, the Packaging Network & Business Development team designs and develops the physical network for Scania's empty packaging flows, both short- and long-term, and maintains supportive IT systems. Our team plays a crucial role in transport and logistics service provider tenders, aiming to improve our global network. We operate in a global arena, tackling cross-functional challenges across Scania's industrial hubs in Europe, Latin America, and China. Our team comprises seven dedicated and diverse individuals, and we are now looking for two new members as some of our colleagues are moving on to new challenges.
As a member of this team, you will be instrumental in making our packaging logistics more efficient and sustainable. You will lead and participate in various projects and assignments, particularly those related to transport, supporting Scania and TRATON's future strategies and goals.
Job Description: In this role, you will work both internally and cross-functionally. You will design and maintain the packaging network, secure capacity through transport and logistics service provider tenders, and identify, initiate, develop, and coordinate improvement projects and assignments. Additionally, you will engage in problem-solving, analyzing, and establishing new ways of working, as well as supporting packaging operations with process development and continuous improvements.
Your Profile: We are looking for an ambitious and communicative individual who excels at building relationships. Your structured approach and proactive attitude will enable you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. You are a knowledge sharer with the ability to influence others positively.
We believe you have a university or college degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, and relevant work experience in logistics or procurement. You have a talent for seeing the bigger picture while understanding the details, and you take the initiative to drive continuous improvement. Your positivity, curiosity, and communication skills set you apart, and you are skilled at organizing and planning. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics tools is essential, as is fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
Application: If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge, please send your CV and cover letter via scania.com no later than September 24th, 2024.
A background check will be conducted for this position.
