What you will do
We keep society running by making sure that Volvo Group trucks, engines, buses, and construction equipment keep running uninterrupted all over the world. You will forecast global spare parts demand and optimizing inventory so the right parts are available in the right place at the right time. You will contribute to leading the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and turn insights into decisions that improve service, availability, and sustainability across a global distribution network. You will also support the transformation of our planning capabilities by contributing to PlanIT, our cloud-native planning solution on Azure, working in an exploratory environment where initiative and collaboration matter more than hierarchy.
Your future team
You will join a team that combines supply chain expertise with data analytics to support Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses, collaborating closely across the broader Service Operations & Technology organization in a diverse, international setting.
Who are you?
In this role, you will bring strong analytical skills combined with supply chain domain knowledge. You have an interest in bridging operational reality with data-driven planning to improve how we simulate, steer, and develop our global supply chain. You are comfortable navigating complexity, communicating insights to both peers and senior stakeholders, and you enjoy working with large datasets to uncover actionable opportunities.
Requirements:
University degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field
Excellent knowledge in theoretical logistics and inventory management.
Excellent analytical and statistical skills and experience with simulation, optimization, or advanced modeling
Skilled in Python, SQL, Power BI, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
Ability to clearly present and visualize conclusions and decision material.
