Your role
As a Supplier Quality Project and Category Manager you will:
Lead supplier quality efforts in new projects:
Represent Supplier Quality in project phases, ensuring supplier readiness for Start of Production (SOP) and the execution of APQP, PPAP, and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
Manage category-specific supplier quality performance:
Define, monitor and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality targets and performance within assigned categories while approving or blocking supplier nominations based on quality risk assessments.
Supplier audits and compliance:
Conduct supplier audits in compliance with standards like IATF 16949 and ISO 9001/14001, ensuring supplier adherence to quality requirements and driving process excellence.
Supplier development and performance management:
Oversee supplier performance during both project and serial production, implementing corrective actions, knowledge sharing, and best practices to address quality issues and mitigate risks.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Act as an interface between Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, and Logistics, aligning project quality requirements with category strategy while influencing critical sourcing and quality decisions.
Skills and Experience
University degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Several years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Automotive industry
Experience in both project environment and, strategic supplier or category management
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Leadership in a cross-functional/matrix organization
