We have an exciting new opportunity for leaders within Procurement. In this role you will lead, develop, and empower a knowledgeable team of professional Supplier quality managers within Direct Material Global Procurement- together we can reach our goal in scaling up Polestar.

The SQM Manager plays a key role to secure a sustainable supply chain. She/he will cooperate with the Polestar vehicle plant production and quality team, lead the team to discover onsite production problems, promote suppliers to solve problems, sum up lessons learned to enable continuous improvement and preventing future supplier quality problems. The SQM Manager will coach the team to analyze problems and also focus on employee training and development.

This role will report to Head of Direct Material and is located either at our HQ in Gothenburg-Sweden or in Coventry-UK or in Shanghai-China.

What you'll do

• Lead the SQM team to take responsibility for solving every onsite and production problem together with stakeholders and suppliers
• Summarize solved problems into lessons learn, perform PFMEA of every product step by step
• Have good abilities of identifying and preventing risks, effectively control the occurrence of risks, build a precautionary SQM system
• Arrange SQM to audit supplier production lines, attend essential suppliers' production regular meeting, maintain open issues list
• Assist team to professionally and efficiently complete every level of reporting of factory, quality, and company, assuring the validity of break points
• Manage suppliers without new projects, control risks and comprehensively assist improving capacity
• Lead and develop the SQM team and coach them to enable efficient communication with stakeholders

• Supplier quality system specialist
• Trainer of various quality tools such as APQP/PPAP/PFMEA/Control Plan/Flow Chart/MSA/SPC/8D/etc.
• Be familiar with products and technology of vehicle or propulsion system, electronic control, battery; specialist in multi-realms
• Have the passion and motivation to drive the tasks and also enable lesson learned cases
• Have affluent experience of team management, have the experience of developing supply chains from onsite to new project
• Have the competence and experience of supporting suppliers to improve quality
• Have outstanding teamwork spirit, serve as a juncture in R&D/Plant/ME/Procurement work mode
• Have brilliant communication skills, have the ability of cooperating with suppliers, R&D engineering, procurement, etc.
• Have the abilities of IT, data analysis and application, identifying gaps in suppliers' information system, and assisting essential suppliers to perfect information system handling
• 10 years+ relevant working experience
