You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots with associated control systems, software, arc welding products, track motions and motor packages. In Sweden, we are approximately 600 employees who are located in Västerås and Gothenburg. More than 90 % of our production is exported and all the major car manufacturers are among our customers. The automotive industry and their suppliers, as well as other industries such as the food industry, are the main users of robot-based automation. Welding, machine service, handling of material, grinding, packaging, and assembling are the most common application areas. The sales of robots and robot systems are managed by local ABB companies as well as by freestanding system integrators and OEM companies, and these are the firms we call our business partners.

Within the Supplier Quality organization, our mission is to ensure that purchased materials for our production units in Västerås and Shanghai always keep a high quality level. As Supplier Quality Engineer with us, you will be responsible for one or several categories and perform corrective and preventive quality assurance activities during the phase of serial production. This position also entails to audit and you will assure a high level of quality in our suppliers? production processes. You will also work with corrective actions such as demand and follow up of 8D reports. The position requires regular travelling, approximately 20-30 days annually. As part of an international company you will meet people from different cultural backgrounds and visit different parts of the world. You preferably hold an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering and Management or similar and are well-acquainted with Production Engineering. In addition, you have a minimum of five years? relevant work experience. Good spoken and written in English and Swedish is necessary.
