hela Sverige ValueOne is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer Machining for a twelve month assignment at a manufacturing company in Östergötland. The assignment starts in May.
The role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will drive and execute supplier and product qualification processes. You will manage suppliers to ensure supplier delivered quality for entire product life cycle. The role involves early involvement with R&D in Product Development Process and support with technical expertise. As an expert you will partner with commodity management and have an active role in Sourcing Board on technical risk and cost of non-quality.
Other tasks:
Set supplier quality performance targets, Supplier Monitoring programs and drive improvement of supplier delivered quality, within given commodities.
Together with the global supplier quality organization plan, coordinate and execute supplier audits.
Ensure collaboration with the global supplier quality network as one team to support local, regional and global needs by transparently sharing knowledge, expertise and resources.
The work will include travel to a certain extent.
Experience and competencies
The person we are looking for must have a technical profile with a college or university education, engineering bachelor, master's degree or similar, and professional experience within project management or similar. Work experience with machining, castings or welding is a highly meritorious as well as experience in R&D or Production Technology.
We also believe that you have previously worked with international contacts that have given you a good understanding of other cultures.
You have the ability to see the whole picture and feel responsible for making the entire supply chain work, see the context and prioritize the right topics. You are result-oriented, driven, structured and understand commercial business relationships.
Your collaboration and communication skills are excellent, and you are able to communicate in Swedish and English fluently, in speech and writing.
A burning interest in technology and quality is essential to succeed in the role. Furthermore, we value a positive mindset, strategic thinking and a good understanding of the connection between cross functional disciplines such as design, production and purchasing.
