Role Overview:
As aSupplier Quality Engineer at Polarium, you willdevelop and implement quality processes and standards specific to electronic, electromechanical and mechanical components, such as PCB assemblies, connectors, mechanical components.In this role you will also conduct thorough audits of supplier facilities to ensure they meet the required standards for manufacturing electronic or electromechanical components.
Responsibilities:
Assess and qualify suppliers specializing in electronic or electromechanical components based on their quality systems, technical capabilities, and compliance with industry standards.
Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics.
Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues.
Implement corrective and preventive actions with suppliers to address quality issues.
Promote the use of advanced quality tools and techniques, such as Six Sigma and statistical process control (SPC), to drive improvements in supplier processes.
Work with incoming inspection to align and improve processes for quality control.
Lead quality-related projects and initiatives involving suppliers.
Identify and assess risks related to supplier quality and supply chain disruptions for electronic or electromechanical components.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for critical suppliers.
Stay updated on relevant quality standards.
Prepare regular reports on supplier quality metrics, focusing on critical parameters.
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant area.
5 years work experience from similar role.
Excellent command of English, with strong communication skills.
Structured and great at coordination.
Used to working with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
Analytical.
Self-driven with a "can-do" attitude.
Swedish work permit.
