Do you want to work for an international company with creating environmentally friendly solutions within the automotive industry? Our customer is a leading supplier of electric drive systems and components that help OEM customers in the automotive industry to electrify e.g. buses, trucks, construction machinery and forklifts. This company works with self-made circuit boards and components on the circuit boards. They design and develop everything themselves and have their suppliers manufacture the finished products.
They are now looking someone who will strengthen the purchasing team and work with development and quality assurance of their suppliers and electronic components.
About the role
In the role of Supplier Quality Engineer you will work with initiating, operating and monitoring the necessary supplier correcting activities. This means analyzing, setting requirements and work together with the suppliers to achieve approved results and optimize the processes - everything to assure the quality of their products. You will therefore collaborate with the development department but also run matters independently. You will be responsible for making sure that the right material is delivered, and communicating with suppliers if not, as well as work proactive to prevent defects in the products. This means being responsible for the qualification of new or changed items, for example quality issues leading to the need to re-design in order to have a product that meets the requirements.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should have an education in civil engineering or an equivalent area. You should also have:
• A few years of relevant experience in the field
• Knowledge in electronics and an understanding of quality standards such as PPAP, APQP, IMDS, 6Sigma and the like
• Experience in working with production processes from the inside and seeing how customers' delivery and productivity can change through various measures
• Fluent communication skills in English, both in speech and writing
