Your future team
You will work very closely with the Quality & Environment teams at the headquarters in Sweden. These teams are very diverse and inclusive, including various cultural backgrounds, most importantly, they are professional, patient and excellent team-players. In addition, you will also work with local colleagues in Shenzhen & Shanghai. So you will work both internationally and regionally and have lots of opportunities travelling abroad, quite fun!
Your role as a Supplier Quality Engineer
In this role, you will work in the product development projects from concept to qualified volume production. Your job in the project team will be to ensure that our component suppliers and contract manufacturers around the world can produce high quality components and products in high volumes. This is a very international context, hence you will have opportunity to practice your communication/trouble-shooting/leadership skills with different culture backgrounds.
You will also be responsible for auditing and developing the performance of a number of critical Chinese suppliers, such as optics, plastic injection parts, metal processing etc, which are used in the most advanced surveillance cameras. In this role, you will work as liaison between the component suppliers and the factories around the world with regards to quality issues.
Your major responsibilities include:
* Drive preventive actions within the product development projects to achieve efficient production processes at both component suppliers and contract manufacturers. This means that you will work closely with your project team members within R&D as well as with our suppliers and manufacturing partners.
* Participate in design DFM meetings, review drawings/spec. together with suppliers and R&D, give recommendations and suggestions to R&D teams and suppliers;
* Work together with sourcing members and R&D teams to contribute to supplier selection through conducting supplier audits and providing supplier quality capability and risk factors.
* Follow-up of quality issues, check suppliers' root cause analyses of defective components. Drive supplier quality problem / manufacturing problem / facilities problem solutions and follow-up errors and action plans.
* Perform Periodic quality audits to suppliers to identify their strength and weakness and report to headquarters; support Swedish Environmental colleagues to audit supplier's environment and sustainability management system.
* Train and interpret AXIS' requirements/ product's spec/ Quality management tools (FMEA, Control plan, etc) to suppliers.
Who are we looking for?
As a person, you absolutely enjoy working in a group in close collaboration with other skilled engineers. You are a curious and unpretentious person who loves problem solving as much as your future team members. Furthermore, we believe you have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in a supplier quality engineer role or related quality work.
* Excellent understanding and experience in supplier audits, manufacturing processes.
* Ability to lead, train and mentor supplier on a personal level.
* Fluent in English and Chinese speaking and writing.
* Excellent communication skills to clarify the quality issue for stakeholders and drive suppliers to correct/improve the quality issue.
* Always open and transparent for quality findings and data.
* Enjoy the SQE work by learning new knowledge/things and problem-solving.
In addition to the above, it will be nice if you have:
* Experience experience/knowledge about plastic injection/tooling/gaskets.
* Knowledge about SMT/PCBA assembly.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability of problem solving and troubleshooting.
* Certified ISO auditor.
