SQ-Quality is, within Scania Purchasing, responsible for quality assurance of new and modified parts, delivered by our suppliers, as well as securing capable production processes at the suppliers during the life time of our parts.
We are now searching for candidates to work in the SQA team of Chassis Components and Sheet Metal as one of our Senior SQA colleagues is retiring.
Your Tasks
As an SQA within the chassis components segments, you shall ensure our suppliers comply with the high quality expectations according to ISO/TS-16949. You shall work closely together with Scania R&D in order to assure quality is designed into our products.
You must acquire understanding of the product's requirements by involving yourself in the development work, and ensure that the product's requirements are correctly understood by our suppliers and that their processes are capable of producing accordingly.
The position requires genuine technical knowledge and several years of professional experience within quality assurance, production and/or product development.
Your Profile
We look for a candidate who enjoys the varying tasks of the SQA role, has strong commitment, works well both alone and in teams and enjoys a high tempo.
Your main area of competence lies in manufacturing, with focus on quality assurance of assembly, metal processing and surface treatment. To properly read and interpret drawings as well as understanding how to best produce according to given specification, is one of your main areas of expertise.
Knowledge about stamping, machining, brazing, welding, assembly processes, and quality in design will be seen as an advantage.
Since travelling to suppliers is a frequent component of the SQA work, our candidate must be prepared to travel, be fluent in English, both written and spoken, enjoy meeting new people and be able to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
