SQ-Quality is within Scania Purchasing responsible for Quality assurance of new and modified parts, as well as securing capable production processes during the life time of a part.
We are now searching for candidates to strengthen our team within the Sheet Metal segment.
Your tasks
As an SQA within Sheet Metal you will be responsible of ensuring that our suppliers comply with our standards and requirements. You will also ensure that the suppliers comply with the high quality expectations of ISO/TS- 16949.
You will work closely with the Scania R&D department and also with our purchasers. You create understanding of the product requirements by involving yourself in the development work, and you ensure that the requirements are correct understood by our suppliers and that their processes are capable to produce accordingly.
You audit supplier production processes as well as take part in problem solving with the suppliers and in internal cross functional teams.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate who enjoys the varying tasks of the SQA role, has strong commitment, works well both alone and in teams and enjoys a high tempo.
Your main area of competence lies in manufacturing, with focus on quality assurance of sheet metal forming, assembly including welding and surface treatment. To properly read and interpret drawings as well as understanding how to best produce according to given specification, is one of your main areas of expertise.
It will be seen as an advantage if you have competence within sheet metal tooling and producing steel parts with high surface finish requirements (skin parts).
Since travelling to suppliers is a frequent component of the SQA work, our candidate must be prepared to travel, be fluent in English, both written and spoken, have excellent communication skills and be able to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
An Engineering education is seen as an advantage and a driving license is a must.
