Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) VCT is responsible for order- and production planning and for supplying the manufacturing process of VCT with components of premium quality in the right time and at the right place. Logistics VCT continuously take part in developing the suppliers to reach optimal quality level and delivery precision.
MP&L VCT is divided into three main areas, Body Shop, Sequencing and Assembly Shop. We are now looking for a Superintendent to one of these areas. The position is permanent.
You will be a member of the MP&L management team and report directly to the Senior Director of Material Planning & Logistics VCT.
What you'll do?
In this role you will run/execute the daily operation in terms of material flow to the VCT plant and develop the logistic process to fulfill long-term goals concerning quality, delivery precision and cost according to the QDFIPS targets set by MP&L and VCT management team. You must be able to build commitment to the team, drive development of the business, develop Volvo Cars Manufacturing System, reduce losses and drive operations against lean transformation. Organizing work and resources in such a way that the company's goals in the short, medium and long term meet effectively is key in this role. To be successful in the role you must be able to lead the team in a way that supports the Volvo Cars culture and wanted leadership behaviors. Other responsibilities include performance management, competency development, knowledge sharing and resource allocation according to requirements of the business.
