MAX IV is a Swedish national large-scale research laboratory hosted by Lund University.
It provides scientists from Sweden as well as internationally, with state-of-the-art instrumentation for research in areas such as engineering, physics, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually, conducting ground-breaking experiments in materials and life sciences using the brilliant X-ray light.

Your team
The ongoing commitment to improving the MAX IV Linac performance and the preparations for starting the summer shutdown period of Linac work, the RF group is in need of extra help to fulfill the tasks that arise during this period. This help will be focused on preventative maintenance of high-voltage RF power units.
Your main work tasks will be
- Temperature measurements on the Modulators.
- High-Voltage stability measuremeents.
- Assist with general Modulator improvements and maintenance.
To be successful in this role you need to have the following qualifications
- Basic understanding of physics, electronics and electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of high-voltage technics, general RF technics, laboratory work and work with measurements lab tools such as oscilloscopes etc.
- Good Computer skills and good knowledge in English, both in speech and writing are essential.
As a person you have the ability to follow the rules and take initiative. You are performance oriented and structured.
You must be minimum 18 years and fluent in English to apply to this position.
On call services may apply in the future.
