This is an extraordinary opportunity to join the world?s leading exchange company as a Summer Intern for 10 weeks. We have six open positions for the summer of 2014, all within Technology. Through training, seminars, social events and the experience of working with top people in our industry, you will gain a unique insight into our industry and get an early career advantage.
We can offer four different projects for our interns this summer:
1. Implement a fixed income calculation library in a common library used by multiple parts of the system and migrate it to a new location. The task also includes extending the library with JUnit test cases
2. Implement FIX message support for Clearing messages
3. To consolidate our two testing tools and to get continuous good regression test coverage you will port the C# tool to Java, automate the manual steps performed and create and document the process on how to setup batches for new releases and customers
4. As part of our Development team, serving different Exchange customers in Europe and America, you will create automated test cases in our internal Java based auto test framework (OMexus) based on existing test specifications

Qualifications
You are a Civil Engineer student, majoring in Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Development or similar and you have 1-2 years left before graduation. Any work experience from IT related fields, banks or the financial industry is highly meriting but not mandatory. You have strong skills in Java programming and preferably also in C++ and C#. We also expect you to be engaged in some kind of extracurricular activities. You of course have excellent language skills in written and spoken English.
We expect you to be a highly driven person who commits to every project you take on. You have a strong analytical mind and you thrive in a challenging environment. That you are a team player and enjoy working close to others is a given.
Welcome to the NASDAQ OMX Summer Experience!
• You will receive a full-time program with components tailored to fit into the 10-week program
• The internship program will begin with a full-day of orientation and training followed by an additional day of team building and classroom training
• Business specific training and networking opportunities will be available throughout the summer program with lunches and a learn series from our Business Leaders
• Performance management will begin with goal setting with the manager followed by mid-summer and end-of-summer reviews
