Subfunction Realisation Responsible (SFR) Traction Battery Monitoring, Estimation and Controls

You will contribute to the next generation of plug-in hybrid and fully electrical vehicles as part of the group Traction Battery System Design & SW Management. Our main target is to develop and maintain software for traction batteries. The software is used in both plug-in hybrid vehicles and in the coming BEV (Battery Electrical Vehicle). The software is developed together with a supplier as well as in-house within the department. As SFR you are responsible for specifying functions in the battery management system and your area will be from idea to verified solution, either working together with a supplier or with the in-house SW team. You will be working in an agile team together with software developers (for the in-house developed parts) and test engineers (for both in-house and supplier software). You will cooperate closely with the other SFRs within the department for sharing best practice and developing ways of working. The subfunction "Monitoring, Estimation and Controls" is handling different kinds of functionalities connected to battery usage such as State of Charge & Health, Available Energy and Balancing.

What you will do
You are the interface between the Function Owner (FO) and the electrical system, ensuring that the subsystem will realize functional diagnostics requirements. You will be analyzing field reports within functional scope, writing requirements within the scope of the subfunction and make sure that calibration and testing is performed. Performing reviews and providing documents to supplier as well as handling software defect reports in issue management systems are important tasks in this role.

This is you

We need you to have a University degree in engineering or equivalent experience, a driving license and experience from SW requirement specification and/or testing. Being a global company, we require that you are fluent in English, written and spoken. We find it meritorious with ASIL experience in practice and skills in model based development. As a person you are communicative and known for being capable of interacting in an international environment. You are focused to deliver with attention to detail, able to work independently and you take initiative.
