The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering (EPS) is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities. The group Charging System is responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the on-board charger (OBC) system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW.
As Sub- Function Responsible within Diagnostic and Dependability (SFR D&D) you will be responsible for breaking down top level requirements from System Architects/System Engineers into SW and HW requirements. The job involves, understanding the needs of various stakeholders and putting their needs in the final requirements towards suppliers. In this position you would be the link between function developers and the teams who provide system requirement for OBC.
Main responsibilities
* Collect, write and review Software requirements in Logical Components (LC) connected to SFR function area
* Create and maintain Logical Components in Volvo requirement system connected to SFR area
* Specify Logical Components signal interfaces connected to SFR area
* Review and secure supplier design proposals connected to SFR area
* Review, plan and conduct test activities for SFR area (development test needs)
* Secure single branch in-house SW and long term strategy for SFR area
* Define, Review and Analyze diagnostic Read-Out data connected to on-board charger
* Advanced SW fault tracing and analysis support
* Prioritise in function integration plan related to the on-board changer diagnostic part (FIP)
* Review test results and findings
* Write system change request and signal data base requests
* Designing ECU-SW
* Analyse SW issues
Required qualifications
* Master or Bachelor of Science within engineering or equivalent work life experience
* Experience of development with Simulink/Matlab
* Experience of writing software system requirement
* A couple of years relevant job experience
* Knowledge about OBD-2 regulation & requirement
* Knowledge about ISO 26262
* Knowledge about ISO 14229
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driving license, B
* Knowledge about AUTOSAR architect and development, familiar with diagnostic event and communication manger is meritorious
* Experience in the automotive industry is meritorious
* Experience as Function developer is meritorious
* Experience as on-board charger functionality is meritorious
* Knowledge about charging standards: AC, CHAdeMO, CCS is meritorious
* Knowledge of V model, or any other Software development Life cycle (SDLC) model is meritorious
