The department Propulsion Energy System is responsible for development of major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. The group Communication and Interfaces is responsible for delivering software functionality, in regards of actual software deliveries, but also software requirements for both our inhouse Software and the supplier part of the software, for the on-board charger (OBC) and the DCDCs in our electrified vehicles.

The on-board charger (OBC) is essential for electrified vehicles, it holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle.
Both AC- and DC-charging are in current projects and wireless charging is already around the corner.

Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market for Charging Software functionality and continuously evolve our way of working. We strive for a more modular platform that is suitable for our vision of continues integration/deployment and a higher focus on the product.

About the position
We are now looking for a Sub Function Responsible to strengthen our Communication and Interfaces team working towards the CMA, SPA, SPA2 and GPA platform. The position will be part of a dedicated and strong team consisting of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, System Designers and other SFRs. You will work in close collaboration with other groups within and outside the ART to realize the requirements further to create quality products.

What you will do
As Sub Function Responsible (SFR) you will provide the software requirements for in-house SW development, inhouse test team and supplier development. You are responsible that there is no logic gap between the supplier and inhouse requirements since they interact to each other in a complex way.

You need to take an active part to review/understand the system requirements (SRD), to break-down the system requirements, to ensure that the relationship between the different levels of requirements is set, and of course, to create software requirements that are both specific and clear.

As the area of charging is still expanding, you need to be updated on the different versions and revisions of the charging standards as for example CCS, GB/T and CHAdeMO, and to understand the new charging technologies that will come.

Who you are
We believe that you have a University degree within engineering, preferably electronics, power electronics or embedded system or equivalent by work life experience. On top of this, you have some years' experience in the automotive industry and have worked with requirement engineering before and you are familiar with AUTOSAR architect and development.
We are a global company so a must for us is that you are fluent in English.

Following experiences are meritorious:
* Experience as Function developer for Embedded systems
* Experience of working with system requirement
* Experience of on-board charger or battery functionality

In this role, you need to be driven by a system-software thinking, how things are connected to each other, how they interact with each other, and to get a satisfaction of knowing how it all should work.
You need to be structured, thorough and data driven in your work. Good documentation skills, cooperation and communication are also essential. Other traits that we appreciate is integrity, courage, and energy.
