CMF Studio Engineering operates as part of the Design Operations at Design. The team comprises two key roles: Program Studio Engineer and Specialist Studio Engineer. Both roles are tasked with ensuring the feasibility of CMF (Color, Material, and Finish) design delivery within their respective areas of responsibility. Additionally, they work to ensure that design intentions are met to the greatest extent possible. This collaborative effort involves close cooperation with other departments within Design, Engineering, and various units across the company. External communication and collaboration with a diverse range of suppliers, including established automotive and non-automotive entities, constitute a significant aspect of the team's daily activities.
In the role of CMF Studio Engineer, collaboration with CMF Designers is essential for developing new materials and strategies, as well as planning for upcoming deliveries. The position requires the ability to comprehend the overarching goals while engaging in detailed technical discussions. Given the dynamic nature of the work, which involves shifts in programs and phases of development, flexibility is crucial. Being open to changes in decisions, adapting to new working methods, and tackling novel challenges are key attributes for success in this role. Some ideas being explored may not have been developed previously. The primary focus within this role is on decorative materials, encompassing wood, metals, glass, plastics, and other relevant materials.

Work tasks
• Secure CMF deliveries with technical expertise to meet the design intention
• Short- and long-term planning of design deliveries
• Challenge engineering when needed to meet design intention
• Be a part of, and contribute to the strategic work
• Secure a creative dialogue with the suppliers
VI SÖKER DIG SOM
• You who have technical university degree or equivalent based on work experience
• You who have documented material knowledge within textiles
• You who have very good English knowledge, both spoken and written
• You who have experience from CMF development work
• You who have the ability to understand and explain a design intention
The company expect you to have material knowledge, interest in material expression and cars. You shouldn't hesitate to be involved in heated discussions and at the same time be calm and good at cooperation, both internally at Design and towards other departments that we are working with.
