hela Sverige We are looking for a fantastic Studio Art Director to join our small crew immediately. While working in a startup environment. Of course there are requirements: The person must share our passion about creating games.
You are going to be responsible for creating the visual elements of a game, such as characters, scenery, objects, UI, and more across multiple platforms.
You will also create concept art and storyboards which help communicate the proposed visual elements to artistic muggles during pre-production. You will need to be able to self organize and set/work to deadlines as well as communicate and work with others in multiple game teams on all the games we create together. Since the role is a director role, you need to be able to oversee and maintain the production costs associated with game art/motion graphics/animation.
Responsibilities:
• Develop game style and visual elements
• Create and enhance User Interfaces
• Create concept art and storyboards for new productions
• Analyzing and advising on art styles and themes
• Collaborate with internal and external team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Have experience in planning and executing multiple gaming projects
• Have experience in planning and execution of marketing and communication
• Have experience in working with external studios (Eastern European experience a plus)
• Have at least 4+ years in video slots production
• Submit art portfolio demonstrating a range of game projects that have been completed
• Be able to draw from life
• Have knowledge of anatomy and architecture
• Be able to convey facial expressions and emotions
• Have a flair for colour, composition, perspective, modelling and texturing techniques, lighting and mood (Certificates from CGMA or similar a plus)
• Be able to work as part of a team and independently
• Be imaginative and creative
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Any 3D Suite
• Fluent in English is a must since it is our primary language when working
• If you speak additional languages it is a a huge advantage
