Internationella Engelska Skolan is seeking a driven and goal oriented Student Care Coordinator for our school in Sundbyberg. As a Student Care Coordinator you will work closely with the teachers, students and the Student Care Team (Elevhälsoteam). You will be part of the Student Care Team and report to the Assistant Principal.

This is an exciting role for a high-potential Student Care Coordinator to join an excellent school in a growing company. It is a highly visible leadership role with big expectations.
The successful candidate will be a forward thinking leader and positive role model, with the ability to inspire both students and staff. They will enjoy autonomy and follow through on ideas. They will be a strong presence around the school, always visible.
The ideal candidate has pastoral qualifications, a proven track of strategic development along with leadership experience. We feel that the right attitude is important, which is why we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, focused and resilient to the day-to-day pressures that working in education can bring.
Key areas of responsibility
• Ensure that the schools "Consequence ladder" and "Ordningsregler" for students is followed and developed together with HoYs (Head of year/arbetslagsledare) and the student care team
• Lead the Student Care Team for our school and coordinate planning of social services, police, psychologist, doctor visits and other external activities from a student care perspective
• Role model in building good relationships with the students and staff
• Ensure that students, teachers and staff have clear guidelines on what is expected at the school
• Strong communication skills
• Responsible for documentation in ProRenata
• Support the management in supporting classes and teachers based on needs
Required competencies and desired qualifications/experiences
• Strong understanding of the IES vision, ethos and values
• Experience from work in suburban areas/students with challenging learning skills
• Experience of leadership
• Administrative skills and systematic in routines
• Strong knowledge of Swedish school law and regulation in regards of student care
