We are a unit within Group IT with approximately 1600 people having full responsibility to manage the evolution of all the commercial solutions used by the truck brands and that are common for the Volvo Group. On top of that we also have a significant delivery for Volvo Financial Services. We forecast to deliver Business value of 2 billion SEK which will bring great challenges and opportunities to be part of the digitalization of the Volvo Group. Commercial Solutions work in close cooperation with all truck brands like Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Group Trucks Asia & Joint Ventures, Volvo Trucks Americas as well as Volvo Financial Services. We have development and support centers reaching from Japan in the East to the US in the West and employees in India, Poland, Sweden, China, France, Japan, UK, Brazil, Belgium and the US.

Business Office
The Business Office is a cross-functional team of high potential broad profiles that contributes to realizing the objectives of the Commercial Solutions by securing excellence in our deliveries towards the truck brands and Volvo Financial Services, developing and driving strategies for efficiency and growth towards sustainable solutions. Therefore, in close cooperation with and under the direction of the management team of Commercial solutions, we manage/lead planning and follow-up on key delivery activities as well as we facilitate cooperation across Group IT units and coordinate initiatives implementation.
We are now looking for a Strategy & Special projects Manager
In this role you will be reporting to the Director Business Office and you will be part of the Business Office management team.

Position description

The mission of the Strategy & Special projects Manager is:
To drive the Strategy Priorities Unit plan for Commercial Solutions from the origination to the successful execution
To prepare and drive monitoring and reports for management team
To lead part of strategic priorities in support to the strategic priority lead
To drive cross activities and projects that impact the Commercial Solutions
To fertilize the strategic priorities within the teams to strengthen the employee inclusion
Propose and set-up required actions to collect input and secure strategic priorities achievements

Location: Flexible (Sweden preferred)

Travel required: occasional

Wanted profile
We are looking for a profile with a solid professional and dynamic breakthrough experience, that can drive the Strategy Priorities Unit plan for Commercial Solutions and contribute in driving cross activities and projects that impact the Commercial solutions unit.

Required competencies
Leadership and inclusive vision and mindset
Broad generalist with analytical skills and ability to structure the given areas.
Good knowledge of the commercial domain and IT delivery practices.
Able to demonstrate similar experiences in strategy management or relevant successful experience (business, stakeholders management, plan...), with a minimum of 5 years of successful functional leading experience
Able to collaborate cross-functionally, build trust and develop an effective working relationship with people at all level of the organization.
Relevant university degree
Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement
Complete proficiency in English is a requirement
