The group Strategy and Portfolio Management should steward and govern the Volvo Car Group Digital and IT Strategy Framework including the formulation of Digital and IT Strategies for the Global Operations of Volvo Car Group influencing the Organisation, External Partners and Related Businesses. Align the IT Strategy with Corporate Strategy, Business Unit Strategies and Volvo Cars Group's Enterprise Architecture to create a containable and reliable short and long-term roadmap on all Business and Operational Development.
Main purpose of the Strategy Architect is to provide business value to key stakeholders in the business functions and regions.
To be a close speaking partner to the CIO/CDO on the strategic layer of the architecture for the enterprise as well as to be the overall guide for Volvo Cars in terms of the highest levels of the architectural area.
Responsibilities
The Strategy Architect is responsible for the strategic layer of the entire architectural landscape.
The responsibility includes ownership and governance of the Enterprise Architecture framework and artefacts (strategies, directives, roadmaps etc.) as well as architectural governance processes and fora.
Main tasks include proactive work to develop and deliver the right architectural framework and artefacts as well as to be the expert advisor on architectural challenges related to the enterprise level. The Strategy Architect role is an outgoing and forward-looking role and the link between the outside world, the business and IT for the architectural area related to IT on a strategic level.
Required Qualifications
* Seniority in developing Enterprise Architectures in relevant business and IT environments, together with a substantial business acumen and an extensive technical breadth
* Experience from several industries and large as well as complex global environments
* Have a great sense for different Business Ecosystems and be on top of Digital and Digitalization as well as other IT related megatrends and how they affect business strategies and models.
* Experienced in managing stakeholders on executive or top management level
* Established in external networks related to the area of Architecture or Strategic IT
* Working knowledge of more than one Enterprise Architecture design method and framework
Essential knowledge to have
* A strong sense for Business Innovation and Business Technology
* Broad Business Process knowledge and awareness
* Profound understanding of business and digital capabilities in an enterprise context
* Knowing the importance of Business Information and Information Security
Personal qualities
* A natural sense for relationship building and able to build the right formal and informal networks
* Team building and team player oriented yet self-driven and able to deliver in a self-mannered way
* Visionary and motivational, yet persistence, with ability to inspire and influence a large mass and a great set of ideals in the enterprise
* Customer oriented in every aspect
