Vattenfall is now looking for an outstanding candidate to fill the temporary position as Strategy Advisor in the Strategic Planning team with location Arenastaden, Stockholm. The duration is 4-6 months and the candidate should preferably be able to start as soon as possible.

We offer you the opportunity to influence Vattenfall?s strategic direction. By joining Strategic Planning, you will be working alongside a team of strategists focused on developing competitive strategies for Vattenfall. You will work closely with colleagues in business areas as well as in staff function. You will be developing innovative, pragmatic and strategic recommendations to senior management. Furthermore, you will gain deep knowledge of Vattenfall to ensure the long term objectives of the company and the business areas. As a part of the Strategic Planning team you will be exposed to Vattenfall?s senior management and the right candidate will quickly build a wide professional network.

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning is responsible for developing Vattenfall?s portfolio strategy and the Group Strategic Direction (GSD), and has a group wide responsibility for the strategy process. The unit is responsible for analysis, valuation and cash flow simulation as a vital part of strategy development. Furthermore, the team is running strategy projects on corporate level and takes an active part in group business development projects.

As Strategy Advisor, the main fields of responsibility are the development and setting of direction for the strategy as well as the support to senior management in navigating a world of increasing challenges, complexity and change.

As a Strategy Advisor in the Strategic Planning team you will:
• Manage projects to solve key strategic and complex issues and thereby influence senior decision making
• Perform insightful analysis in high-profile strategic projects and be a thought leader
• Depending on the candidate profile, support BAs in developing successful strategies
• Work in cross-functional teams with team members from a wide variety of Vattenfall units
• Be exposed to senior Vattenfall management
• Get insights to Vattenfall?s strategic direction and key challenges

Qualifications
• Relevant Master of Science degree (or equal) in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering with excellent academic results
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• Structured personality with strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in management consulting, corporate finance or engineering industry is meriting
• Excellent command of English both orally and written is a must. German, Dutch and Swedish is meriting
