Sales and Production Planning (SPP) is responsible for Volvo Cars short- and long-term volume planning. This includes the development of the official global Industry Forecasts, Sales Forecasts, Production Volume Program and overall Capacity Planning. The Industry Forecasting & Strategic Sales Planning department within Sales and Production Planning is responsible for:

* Global Industry Forecast - An agreed/decided passenger car and served segment industry forecast by market. The Industry Forecast is created both on a monthly basis, as one of the pre-requisites for the sales forecast, and up-to four times per year as a pre-requisite for the Volume Plan.

* Global Volume Plan - An agreed/decided volume plan for Volvo Cars for the planning horizon.
The Global Volume Plan has a 5-year planning horizon, where we have the responsibility and focus on year 3-5.

The work we do requires cross functional collaboration, both within Sales and Production Planning and between other units such as Sales Regions/National sales companies, Manufacturing, PS&BO and Finance. The Industry Forecasting & Strategic Sales Planning department consist of in total eight persons.

Responsibilities
As a Strategic Sales Planning Manager you have the responsibility for creating and aligning the volume plan as well as giving volume input to the new car programs as well as the model year programs. You will also be responsible for volume scenarios/analysis as preparation for decisions. This position will comprise cross-functional communication and recurring meetings with many departments within Volvo Cars. You have a significant interest in the automotive industry development in general and specifically the impact this can have on Volvo cars sales.
You are also a proactive team player with ability to influence others and drive for results.

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for the Volume Plan, from planning to release.
* Develop the central volumes by carline, market and on powertrain level based on available knowledge i.e. industry forecast, market situation, competitor situation, current sales performance and cycle plan.
* To have a close cooperation with the Sales Regions regarding volume related questions
* Manage the volume consequences in ongoing cycle plan/car program investigations/studies
* Responsible for the car program volumes and to actively participant in the revenue team
* Further develop the Volume Plan Forecasting methods, tools and communication
* Coordination and communication of decided Volume Plan
* Responsible for the volume part in preparatory and decision meetings

Required qualifications
* Academic degree in business administration or engineering (or equivalent)
* High capability in managing complex scenarios
* Strategic mindset
* Advanced user in MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* High degree of business acumen
* Fluent in spoken and written English
* A passion for accuracy in numbers

Personal qualifications

* Team oriented and good communication skills
* Driven, structured and result oriented
* Good understanding of retail and financial forecasting/analysis
* Experience from operational business analysis
* Experience from working with senior management is an advantage
