Area Management is transforming and we are looking for Strategic Sales Directors for six different regions in both Truck Sales and Parts and Service Sales. As a Strategic Sales Director you will have the responsibility and mandate, together with our Commercial entities, to design and deliver on our solutions strategy fully in line with our Sustainability Targets.



Your new role

You are responsible for developing and securing execution in the commercial business strategy for the designated region from a parts & services or trucks perspective. You secure that the industrial system and the commercial system are linked in terms of investments and outcome in sales, and you take lead in developing a product and sales strategy per market together with relevant stakeholders, based on a consolidated view on business.

You work to reach the company targets on group sales, but do also secure a well aligned total strategy where our business areas are interlinked. You understand how to use solutions management and the business intel available to boost and grow business opportunities. The role also includes to guide and coach the business units on how to meet the future in terms of new technology and new business models.

Progress and professional performance follow up will be an integrated part of the assignment and the role includes the full business mandate for the region.

You are part of the Sales Management team and will report to Head of Global Sales. The management team is built on transparency, commitment and drive. In close cooperation with the functions of business support and business development, you secure the right ways of working, including methodology and tools - for success in the commercial interface.

Your profile

We think you have a holistic view with a strong drive to develop our business and to lead the journey being a leader in sustainable transport. You are an inspiring leader with a strong ability to convey a message and you thrive in an environment where you work independently within a given mandate and where taking initiative is crucial.

You have a commercial and international background, where knowledge of the parts & service or trucks business is meriting but not necessary. Cross functional collaboration is important, both within your own team and with other parts of Scania and TRATON Group, so bringing people together is something you are good at.

We believe you have a university degree in business administration or engineering, or corresponding work experience. English is a necessity, other languages a merit. Frequent travels are part of the job. Location for the position is flexible.
