About the job
In this position, you work in close alliance with our production - identifying, preparing, proposing, managing and leading sourcing in projects that involves cross-functional teams. Many of these are investments in new technology - to enable savings, risk mitigations, ensure the best supplier base and that we work in a compliant way. You also represent Gimo Inserts in various sourcing forums and develop sourcing plans and strategies for our purchasing team. A crucial step in this is developing a strategic and sustainable supplier base, with both local and global suppliers, as well as ensuring continuous improvements in the area of sourcing. To achieve this, you handle strategic purchasing decisions, major investments and supplier agreements in alignment with our corporate guidelines. You take responsibility for the entire process - from initiating contacts with new suppliers, to negotiating, implementing and following up on contracts. Other parts of your mission are interpreting market intelligence, developing supplier profiles, while also measuring and following-up on performance to maintain control.
The location for this position is Gimo, Sweden with the possibility for a hybrid working schedule and some travel may occur.
About you
We're looking for someone with a proven background in strategic purchasing in an international manufacturing industry as well as prior experience in investment procurement. You're experienced in stakeholder management and an effective negotiator who is recognized for successfully managing teams and projects. A relevant degree could be useful, and knowledge of metal cutting is beneficial. We act in a global context, which calls for fluency in English, in both writing and speaking. Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
