Position Description

We are now looking for a Strategic Product Planner Zero Emission Volvo Trucks & COE
The Position:
In this role you will be cooperating with Sustainable Power Strategic Product Planning Group, Vehicle Engineering, Volvo Trucks brand and synchronizing with Renault Trucks brand to secure the planning and initiation of the necessary Zero Emission Cab Over Engine (COE) product and platform evolution.
(Cab over engine refers to European heavy duty truck architecture)
Your keys responsibilities will be the following:
Drive, update and release Zero Emission Volvo Trucks Product Plan with input of Vehicle Engineering & Vehicle Technology, Volvo Trucks Brand and Sustainable Power Strategic Product Planning.
Secure the synchronization with Renault Trucks Zero Emission Product Plan for Cab Over Engine platform needs.
Support Sustainable Power SPP team in releasing product events in Zero Emission Vehicle Strategy Meeting.
Write Prerequisites and drive balancing up to development readiness, participate as team member into the battery electric vehicle streams.
Drive necessary investigation with purpose of refining Product Events, prerequisites and stream technical development with market and customer knowledge.
Guide cross functional organizations to the right product evolution answering at best Product Events, face the high challenges in the zero-emission product plan by balancing proposals in close collaboration with Sustainable Power SPP group.
Support the Long-Term Volume Forecast release with Zero Emission Volvo Trucks volume break down
Ensure consistency between Zero Emission product plan and Volvo Trucks ambition when it comes to CO2 roadmap, SBTi roadmap, sustainability targets (offering and volumes).
To be successful in this task, you will work closely with Sustainable Power SPP group to establish the best product plan together with the Volvo Truck brands, Vehicle Engineering department and different engineering functions.

In this role, you will demonstrate leaderships skills, good negotiation and communication, you will be recognized by your truck product knowledge, market and industry, product offering and usage. Financial and business case analysis and a good business understanding are key to develop a profitable product plan for Volvo Trucks.
Of course, you must also demonstrate knowledge and competences in the new zero emission technologies, being part of the Volvo Trucks transformation toward sustainable transport is a real driver for you.
You have a suitable engineering background in automotive or transport industry. You hold a M.Sc. Or B.Sc.
