Metso Paper Karlstad/Tissue Supply Chain is now looking for a skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement/Category manager to join our Supply Chain Team.
In this role, you will develop major/critical suppliers as well as finding and negotiating commercial agreements with new suppliers. This entails finding alternative suppliers for critical products and increasing the supplier base in CCC countries. You will also manage procurement strategies and activities for some of our categories in close cooperation with colleagues within supply chain. The role will require some domestic and international travel.
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor degree in engineering, supply chain, business or equivalent. You will have strong negotiation and purchasing skills and at least 2-4 years experience from a similar role.
As a person you are a highly organized and motivated individual, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required, as you will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
