Vattenfall's purpose is to become fossil free within one generation. Our world urgently needs to find alternative ways of powering and heating its businesses, cities and homes more cleanly. Change has to happen, and fast. At Vattenfall, we believe that the solution is energy that is 100% free from fossil fuel and that powers all aspects of customer's lives, including heating, transportation and manufacturing.
As a proudly progressive and open organisation, Vattenfall is committed to continually accelerating and powering this transition to further electrification and renewable energy. Making it a reality is a significant challenge: there are economic, social and technological issues to be resolved. But we believe that by positively working together with customers and organisations beyond our own, we can make fossil free energy a reality sooner.
Within Vattenfall, Corporate Risk Management is tasked with holistic risk management duties on the enterprise level. The team Strategic Risk is part of Corporate Risk Management, and is responsible for identifying and assessing fundamental and long-term wholesale price risks, their impact on the energy market and the strategic implications for Vattenfall. Main Tasks & Responsibilities
As a Quantitative Analyst in the Strategic Risk team, you will partly be working on the model development and analysis of the inhouse-built valuation model for the entire production asset portfolio of Vattenfall. Moreover, you will be involved in big investment projects (>10 million EUR) - of which the valuation is based on complex models and methodologies - through close cooperation with valuation analysts and through contributing to the independent review of the project. Finally, you will also be contributing to the independent review duties with respect to the Long-Term Market Outlook (for e.g. power, gas, coal, CO2, etc) that forms the basis for investment valuations and the Group's strategic positioning.
The complete list of tasks and responsibilities:
