hela Sverige Source and develop materials based on the creative direction brief and business requirements. To develop the best commercially viable materials and solutions with past analysis and future business lifecycle planning awareness , including the logistics and supply chain perspective.
Own the development and oversee the production of New GANT IP Concept materials. Responsible for the end to end development process starting from product/project concept to developing, handlooms, proto, SMS, bulk materials, supported at each stage with laboratory testing and certifications To ensure quality assured certified products are launched to market for future business growth.
Define and track the development of new technologies, market trends, processes within materials supply chain from a commercial, quality assured, scalable, sustainable perspective and worst case scenario. Manage an organizational home to nourish and monitor these seed stage ideas with a 0-5 year perspective.
Collaborate with the Strategic Development Manager to build innovation management business cases to introduce new material Concepts from the seed stage to the market. Lifecycle plan these new material, sustainable, technologies and innovations into the business with a 0-3 year perspective.
Support the Strategic Development Manager to future plan and build business cases for the introduction of raw materials memberships and Initiatives into GANT. Help create Q&A guidelines to implement and educate GANT for all touch points.
Create Materials and Concept Toolboxes with Inspirational, technical, certified and substantiated USP's to provide clear communication continuity from Concept to Consumer. To include Q&A guidelines to implement and educate GANT from PCT developing product, to Quality assured aftercare, through to Marketing communications.
Organize in a timely manner the seasonal material developments into a comprehensible PLM toolbox for PCT. Responsible for input and maintaining PLM for all stages of the materials development, including all technical material attributes, test reports, certifications, costing ladders, sampling and bulk minimums and lead-times.
Maintain and own a digital and physical material library, to include test reports and all materials details and history.
Communicate with fabric mills/suppliers from development stage to quality tested approved bulk fabrics. Manage an organizational home through development follow-ups and tracking.
Budget and archiving of all inspirational materials, bought samples.
Competitor and trend awareness to include Performance and sustainable materials, processes and innovations.
Monitor and inform on raw material pricing with global environment factors.
Ensure innovations don't infringe on patents and IPR when they're delivered into product creation.
Minimum 8 years experience within Material and Product Development with a focus on Textiles technical development.
Bachelor of Science / Education and / or experience within Sustainability and supply chain.
Competitor and trend awareness and a passion for research and development.
Good communication and listening skills with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
An adaptable, confident team player with positive problem solving, organization, influencer and decision making skills.
Digitally competent with clarity in presentation skills.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint. PLM system experience would be ideal.
