We are now looking for the right person to join the PR & Communication team as Strategic Communications Manager. We are seeking a committed and passionate person who wants to be a part of taking Volvo Car Sweden into the future. We are a team that values ??cooperation, result orientation and desire for change and of course to have fun together. We need to challenge how we communicate when it comes to channels and content to support our business goals and to reach out with strategic messages. The transition that characterises Volvo Car Sweden going forward put demands on our way of communicating. Therefore, we need to review our strategies and defining the best way to reach out to our target groups.
As Strategic Communications Manager you will play an important role in the PR & Communication team adding new perspectives on strategic communication; how to effectively create engaging content that cut through. You will be driving development of strategic corporate communication both internally and towards the Swedish Volvo dealers. You will be a part of an experienced team of five people and report to Director PR & Communication. Besides, being an excellent communicator with a strategic way of thinking, the ideal candidate has a good business sense and is quick in grasping the bigger picture. You have a genuine interest to drive and develop engaging communication and are not afraid of seeking new methods. You are a team player with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude. You have a broad communication experience and additional experience from marketing communication is a merit. You easily find ways to navigate and build relationships.
Main responsibilities
* Develop and define communication strategies, objectives and communication channels
* Translate business plans and strategies into understandable, effective and engaging communication
* Drive and lead communication projects of different nature
* Manage the internal and dealer communication plan
* Contribute to awareness of the company's strategic orientation with the help of well-tailored communication initiatives. This applies both internally and to the Swedish Volvo dealers
* Have a close cooperation with e.g. sales, service, marketing, customer service, product and marketing to ensure an integrated communication both internally and towards our dealers
* Cooperate with Human Resources to further enhance/improve our culture and employee engagement
* Work proactively with communication plans and platforms when facing changes within the organisation
* Advise and support management and managers in communication issues supporting our business performance and goals
* Support Director PR & Communication in diverse communication topics
Required qualifications
* University degree in academic qualification or equivalent experience
* Minimum five years of solid experience within the communication area, both on strategic and operational level
* Very good knowledge in all areas and aspects of communication
* Project leader skills
* Excellent writing skills, primarily in Swedish but also in English

* High level of integrity and professionalism
* Ability to balance strategic and operational work
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships and networksStructured and can handle many stakeholders and projects simultaneously
* Driven, goal oriented and responsive
* Curious and with a sense of humor
