For our Metal and Chassis department we are currently looking for a committed team member who is interested in business and new technology and wants to be involved in the development of Scania within the Volkswagen Truck & Bus.
Your duties
In the role as Commodity Purchaser for steering components you will work cross functionally within Scania and together with colleagues within the Volkswagen group to optimize the cost of sourced products and sourcing of new parts.
You will lead the strategic development of your segments and supplier base in a structured way to create the best possible business for Scania in both short and long term. You'll be responsible for all commercial issues with regards to your suppliers and sourced material.
Your main task will consist of development of the supplier base, ensure delivery capacity, create business plans, handling inquiries, negotiate contracts and agreements in a international environment.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is commercial, creative and result oriented. You are good with relationships and enjoy having many contacts both internally and externally. We expect you to be an engineer or business graduate with a few years work experience within a commercial role, preferably within purchasing.
As the role involves a large international network and some travel, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken Swedish and English. Other language skills are an advantage.
