Mölnlycke is now looking for a Strategic Category Manager within Procurement Wound Care to be stationed out of our headquarters in Gothenburg.
We are looking for a driven, action oriented people person with the ability to build relations, facilitate and develop external partnerships with strategic suppliers in co-operation with key stakeholders. This with a business orientation perspective to make a significant contribution to our business.

About the job
This role acts on a global level and interacts with key functions such as manufacturing sites, R&D, quality, marketing, regulatory, etc.
You play a crucial role in sourcing strategic key raw materials and products from best in class suppliers through partnership relations and competitive agreements.
You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and developing these professionally.
You will plan and direct sustainable purchasing activities to ensure optimum pricing, terms, quality, supply and service in order to maximise the purchasing power of the company.
You will lead and facilitate procurement activities in co-operation with other functions to support the business targets and needs.
You'll develop sourcing strategies and lead assigned raw material categories in accordance with the company sourcing process supporting company objectives and strategies.
In this role you're expected to travel globally as per business requirements.

These are the main accountabilities for this position
Develop long term sourcing strategies based on company objectives to improve efficiencies, reducing CO2 emissions and ensuring supplier and product performance.
Drive sustainability in the supply chain in accordance to company scope 3 targets.
Plan and lead sourcing activities of strategic direct material for optimal commercial terms, quality, delivery and service in order to maximize the purchasing power, through global tenders or other commercially driven processes.
Identify and implement mitigation plans for supply risks and establish a qualitative and value-driven supplier base.
Monitor market and industry trends that affect assigned areas, including cost drivers, manufacturing costs, material development and the global supply base to be used in cost reduction activities and price negotiations.
Perform supplier reviews to ensure that current and potential suppliers fulfil quality, environmental and ethical business standards and that required capacity is available.
Initiate and determine contractual documents with high complexity and value, such as invitations to global bids, request for quotations, set up of supply agreements to secure cost-efficient supply chain and facilitate product development arrangements.
Apply effective negotiation techniques to establish agreements that support identified strategies and enhance the global competitiveness of the company.
Participate in new product development projects to drive the sourcing related activities and to ensure that the procurement strategy is maintained.
Lead cross-functional commodity teams with the responsibility to drive cost reduction, make/buy analysis, quality and delivery performance, drive sustainability improvements, reduction of inventory and other applicable key performance areas.


What you'll need
We're looking for a team player with good interpersonal skills, customer-oriented with strong communication and persuasion skills, as well as presentation skills.
In this position you'll also need to have these skills and experience:
Experience in international procurement and sourcing.
Analytical and cost calculation skills
Negotiations skills
Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship and stakeholder management
Category Management, contract management and legal experience.
Academic business degree, minimum bachelor
Logistics and supply chain experience.
High proficiency in English language, additional languages are welcome.
