Their main office is based in the south of Sweden and have a wide range of consumer home products. They believe the key to their succes is a professional cooperation between Design, Production and Logistics. Production is done by their carefully selected suppliers in close and long term cooperation with their Purchasing teams.
To handle the challenges of growth and expansion and to further develop the supplier relations our customer now look for additional team players to their Supply Chain team. Over all, they offer assignments with high speed and demanding responsibilities in an international environment.
THE ASSIGNMENT:
The main assignment is to create the category strategy within the division of Supply Chain Management, lead the implementation as well as support the competence development throughout the category.
Your responsibilities will consist of the following:
• Develop the category strategy based on the purchase development process on a 5 year perspective
• Integrate the material, production and capacity dimension into the range development process in the specific category
• Lead the total purchase development process throughout the entire category dimension
• Actively monitor the external market conditions which might have impact on the business
• Create conditions for professional supplier relations and development
• Supplier classification
• Production and technique developments
• Define and communicate needed competence and gaps throughout the category and support in competence development
• Lead a sourcing developer team, coaching and motivating the co-workers
BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS:
You have at least 3 years of experience within purchasing with proven track record as a Senior Sourcing Developer or similar work. We expect you to have good knowledge of the global market and the special advantages of the respective countries as well as the industry and its drivers (material, product costing, distribution and production). You have experience of negotiation and skills in problem solving oriented working methods.
We also expect you to have a university degree in technology, business administration or corresponding, as well as good knowledge in the English language.
