hela Sverige Westermo is looking for an experienced Commodity Buyer to join our Purchasing Team.
Your location will alternate between our sites in Stora Sundby and Västerås.
You will directly contribute to our increased focus on strategic sourcing. You will be responsible to create activity plans and drive the supplier strategy for your segments. You are the business owner within your commodity and will focus on optimizing business agreements, material cost and operational working capital, as well as securing material to production. Your role will be partly operational since you are in charge of Quality, Delivery, Cost and commercial relationships within your commodities.
Responsibilities
Drive supply chain improvements
• Reduce material cost and inventory
• Develop and internally align commodity strategies
• Secure that business is awarded in line with the supplier strategy
• Negotiate contractual commercial agreements
• Perform daily purchasing activities
• Pro-active monitoring and risk management
• Purchasing process improvements
Qualifications
• University degree in engineering, economics or similar
• >5 years of strategic purchasing and supplier management experience.
• Knowledge about electronics manufacturing is a plus. Experience from working with IFS as material planning system is a merit
• Fluent in Swedish and English

You are a team player with a positive mindset and are passionate in doing business. You like to take initiatives, focus on solutions and business opportunities, you are a strong communicator and enjoy to be the business owner for your segment. The work requires ability to travel.
