But now we want to be even better! We're looking for a Strategic Buyer to our Operations in Lund. So, what are you going to do today?
Who you are
Main responsibilitiesWe are in the midst of a major change work, creating a new factory and you are expected to be a important part of the drive, supporting the way forward in this. As Strategic Buyer you are responsible to drive and develop the source processes in the Lund factory, in line with the priorities safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will contribute to exceed customers' expectations by focusing efforts to provide a high level of service e.g. lead time improvements, special order handling along with financial savings through supplier negotiation and transportation. Your key tasks will be:
Analyze the current supply chain and propose areas for improvement
Drive and participate in sourcing projects, also in a global environment
Secure the supplier performance in terms of quality, lead time, delivery on time and landed cost for our suppliers
Cooperate with colleagues in the factory, R&D, Global Purchasing and Producte Centre.
The position requires 10 - 20 travelling days per year.
Who are you?You have probably a technical degree, combined with commercial experience from purchasing and/or sales and marketing, and a good understanding of supply chain and manufacturing/processes. You have experience from improvement tools e g 5S, Six Sigma or Kaizen, you are skilled in English, both spoken and written.
As a person you are result driven, well-structured with excellent communication skills combined with a passion to drive and to influence change in the way the organization works to increase effectiveness. You have leadership skills, integrity and a coaching approach. You are visionary with a strategic perspective but also a team player, good at listening and get the people committed.
