Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our Strategic Sourcing department at the Cochlear BAS headquarters located in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Reporting to the Manager Strategic Sourcing this role works within internal and external cross-functional teams. This role is responsible, from quality, price and delivery accuracy perspective, for optimizing the selection of suppliers and volumes.
In this permanent role you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear's successful history of innovation by applying your knowledge of purchasing to independent initiate, drive and implement activities for cost reduction, securing of quality and improve delivery accuracy and capacity from the suppliers.
Key Requirements:
5 years of experience from the fields of purchasing and quality assurance
Master of Science in Engineering, Economics or equivalent education
Experienced, interested in and enjoying continuous improvement and change management
Good knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements for medical device industry
Very good communication skills (oral and written), Swedish and English
Very good knowledge of Windows Office and ERP systems
Takes responsibility and have the highest degree of realization
Sensitive and communicative with the power to describe and present a purchasing strategy
Diplomatic with pedagogic capacity
Businesslike in both purchasing and in relation with Cochlear?s internal and external partners
