The Role

Fingerprint Cards has established a position as the industry leading supplier of fingerprint sensor technology for the smartphone industry. We are continuously adapting our leading technology also for other market segments. We are now looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to contribute to our growth as we provide our market leading technology to the smartcard industry, with a focus on card manufacturers.

The main focus for the Strategic Account Manager is to manage the customer relationship and ongoing sales and business development activities for the FPC product portfolio for world leading fingerprint sensor systems to the Smart Card industry. In the role you will co-ordinate sales projects, qualify and follow-up customer engagement commercially, to ensure qualitative, competitive and profitable customer engagement. The role also includes developing strategies and plans for future growth within the smartcard field. You will secure product competitiveness by carefully analyzing information from customers and Sales. You will have the opportunity to be a central part of FPCs development in the Smartcard business.

The role will either be based in Sweden (at our office in Malmö) or be based in France. If in France, the role will be home-based, preferably in the Paris area. Frequent travels domestically and internationally will be required, as our partners and customers are located world-wide.

The Strategic Account Manager Smartcards reports to the Sales Director Smartcards, who is located in Malmö, Sweden.

Your background

This role requires a Master of Science in engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years occupational experience of Smart Card industries / echo systems, preferably in a production or developing company. The role requires frequent contacts with our global customers and you need to have senior level experience from international customer interactions.

You need to be fluent in both spoken and written English and French. We regard it as beneficial if you also speak German.

To succeed in this role:

• You bring excellent analytic skills with a critical mindset and ability to identify critical customer requirements that might impact on sales process or product offering.
• You show great interest in high tech, and have a good understanding of embedded hardware and software, manufacturing/production and quality.
• You have an extrovert personality with senior experience in interacting with customers.
• You have documented experience from the Smart Card industry / eco-system.
