At IKEA Haparanda-Tornio, there is a Visual Merchandiser team looking for their new manager. The team is junior with a fantastic team spirit where they lift each other to succeed together. Therefore, they are looking for a competent Visual Merchandiser manager who has a coaching way to take us together to the finish line.

A day in your life with us
As a Visual Merchandiser Manager you will join us with our mission; inspire customers with home furnishing solutions that appeal to the dreams, needs and wallets of the many people.
Your main tasks will be, together with your Visual Merchandiser team offering our visitors the most inspiring shopping experience, meaning working with visual merchandising, always presenting our range in a commercial and inspiring way. The purpose of all the work you will do is to appeal to the needs and dreams of the many people in our local Market IKEA Haparanda-Tornio area.
You will collaborate a lot with colleagues in your department (Interior Design and Graphic communication) as well as all other functions in the store (Sales, Logistic and Customer experience and FOOD), you see it is in this intersection we together create not only esthetically appealing solutions but also commercial and easily maintainable, we are after all in the retail business. This gives an opportunity for you to deepen your expertise even further and become more commercial and work according to season.

About this work area
We are looking for you who have experience or education in Visual Merchandising. We would like you to have leadership experience or a pronounced potential to lead others and see this as your first step to developing your leadership.
Our offer is a position as a permanent Visual Merchandiser Manager at IKEA Haparanda-Tornio. With 6 months probationary period if you are new to IKEA. You work 40h/week between 08-17. Some evenings and weekends you will work as the department store jour between 09.30-19. You have personnel responsibility for a team of 5 Visual Merchandiser co-workers.

The recruitment process has 4 steps:
1. We screen your personal letter, CV and carefully read your typed answers to a few complementary questions
2. We send you an invitation with recorded questions in English, you answer by recording yourself while answering in English, you can use pretty much any device. Please keep in mind that we are more interested in your answers, not whether you have recently shaved or are having a bad hair day. If you are selected after this step, you will move on the step 3.
3. You finally (keeping our fingers crossed) get to meet us and participate in a competency assessment as well as answering our interview questions. Please also prepare with your own set of questions so you can assess us as your future employer as well.
4. Finally, congratulations you made it, the last step is to accept terms and sign contract with us, we are looking forward to having you as an IKEA colleague as soon as possible.

Invitations to interviews (step 3) will most likely be sent out with short notice and we truly appreciate your cooperation & understanding for this. We will interview on a ongoing basis (still step 3) but are planned to be no earlier than 18 april 2022.
