You are a person with a creative mind, high energy and drive who wants to inspire the people around you. You are passionate about home furnishing and about customers lives at home. You are talented within the visual merchandising area, with previous work experience as a leader in operational retail business and/or as a visual merchandiser.
As a person you are open minded, without prestige and responsive and you see the benefits of building on each other's ideas. You are creative and structured, curious and enjoy working operational as well as strategical and you express yourself well in both Swedish and English. You have experience working as a VM and are educated in the field.
Since this is a position with personnel responsibility, you are an experienced leader, you coach, teach and develop other people. Last but not least you want to be on a journey to develop IKEA on the local market through commerciality and are not afraid to try on new ideas.

A day in your life with us
"As a VM manager, I ensure that every day we have a commercial and inspiring store. I talk to my team to clarify what's going to happen during the day and the week ahead. I ensure that the long-term plan with rebuilds and upcoming implementation with our Launch still holds. I'm moving on to a department that needs support on how to get a news item in. During the afternoon, together with the commercial team, I will forge plans for upcoming events to be rolled out. In my role, I am a speaking partner to the entire store and all different functions, so it is important to be able to balance many different assignments and humbly meet colleagues' wishes."
As a Visual Merchandiser/Activity Manager you work both operational and strategical and your main tasks will be:
• to contribute to store solutions to secure an excellent buying experience for the IKEA customers.
• to plan and execute strong visual presentations that fits the layout of the store.
• to drive commercial calendar, shop design and planning.
• to secure drawings, planning processes, timelines and budgets
• to develop and lead your team through togetherness, encouragement and good communication.
• to collaborate and work closely together with other functions such as Sales, Logistics and Customer Experience on a daily basis.
Your will coach and develop a team of senior visual merchandisers who will report to you.
