hela Sverige Storage Online Management team is looking for a Storage technical specialist who will work with development of storage solutions mainly for the Linux and Windows platforms. We develop solutions for all Volvo IT sites globally and the positions give opportunity to work in global networks together with people around the world.
Storage is a highly focused area on our customer's agenda and we see a future where we need to develop solutions to meet requirements from both Volvo group and external customers worldwide.
Job description;
Storage Online Management is looking for Storage Infrastructure Technical Specialists who will work with development and support of storage solutions mainly within the SAN- and NAS environment. We develop solutions for all Volvo IT sites globally and the positions give opportunity to work in global networks.
You will work in the Storage area with different tasks such as develop, maintain and support Storage products, drive standardization and ensure production efficiency and quality of our Storage platforms. The work will contain contacts with the vendor in technical questions and evaluation of new (and existing) infrastructure components within the area. There is a possibility to have (be) product responsibility for one or several technical services.
What is your background and experience?
• Preferably experience from the Windows, VMware and/or Unix area and their integrations to Storage
• Preferably storage experience in storage products from Network Appliance, EMC or Brocade
• Preferably experience of Storage operations from enterprise environments
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Swedish
• Team player and result driven
