About the Role
We are on an exciting journey providing Enterprises and the public sector with regulatory compliant, cloud-based infrastructure services based on Ceph-Storage. We are a fast growing company! It means a little chaos is a good thing! We are the European leaders in infrastructure as a service using open source software such as OpenStack. We live to get that smile on our customers face when we solve a problem or simply provide something better than expected. That's in fact why we go to work the next day.
You will join the team of 3-4 engineers maintaining the storage infrastructure for the global cloud services.This role is about running our current clusters but also designing new clusters & enable new features to allow our customers to do even more. We are looking out for a colleague who is a real team player to take on tasks & also like to develop his/her skills, test new features and share ideas to bring us all forward and build an even better service for our customers.

We spend time to train new people who join the team and adjust how we work together via retrospectives. 10% of our working hours are dedicated to Education. You get to sit in the school bench or even hold the teacher stick yourself.
Requirement/ Must have
You should know Ceph in detail.
Know about Haproxy and Radosgw to offer s3 and swift to the public.
Maintain and upgrade existing clusters.
Patient and know how to deal with customer data.
Automate your repetitive work
At least 4 years of experience with similar responsibilities is a requirement, track record of implementing.
Good to have:
Genuinely interested in new technologies, software or hardware.
Well-organized and structured.
What we offer
Full-time position with 6-months probationary period.
Leave Policy : 6 weeks vacation.
Remote work : Work everywhere you want from the EU, and whenever you want, as long as you're working 40 hours a week in 5 days.

Type of Employment
Full time position.
If you live in Sweden or Germany, you would be directly employed by City Network International AB or our German subsidiary.
If you live in any country other than Sweden or Germany (but within EU), we will enter into a contractor agreement as applicable to the legal situation in your country. If a contractor agreement doesn't suit you, we'll work with our group for possible alternative locations <TBC by Jim>.
Salary and compensation will be negotiated during the interview process.
