The arena
You will become part of Biometrics & Information Sciences in AstraZeneca Global Medicine Development unit. In Mölndal we are today around 40 statisticians which makes us one of the biggest groups of statisticians in northern Europe. We are now looking to fill a number of permanent and temporary positions with start as soon as possible.
The role
As a statistician in clinical development you are expected to provide statistical expertise in the design, planning, evaluation and documentation of clinical studies and programs in all phases of clinical development. This will also include work of more exploratory nature, e.g. modeling and simulation, as well as other means to improve internal decision making. Dependent on your experience you might also be expected to contribute to more strategic planning, act as expert contact to our external collaborators, coach more junior staff and be part of the department?s adaption and development of statistical methodology.
Minimum experience/requirements
These positions require a minimum of M.Sc. in statistics, biostatistics, mathematical statistics or a similar subject. As our work is conducted in cross functional projects in an international environment, good collaboration, communication and influencing skills as well as good written and spoken English are presumptions. A successful candidate will have interest and ability to communicate statistical matters to other experts as well as interest in the application of statistical methodology in pharmaceutical development.
Preferred experience/requirements
Higher academic degree as well as experience from drug development or other related fields is an advantage.
