to the pharmaceutical development of new drugs by applying statistical and
mathematical methods on experimental design and evaluation in close co-operation
with analytical chemists and pharmacists. Your field: AstraZeneca

provide expert knowledge to project teams in the area of statistics as applied
to pharmaceutical product development and characterization. You will have an
important role in advising and teaching statistics to people in the
organisation. There will be opportunities for networking and individual
development. Your role: In your role you will: - co-operate
with project teams on design of experiments and interpretation of experimental
results - support project teams with advice on, and performance of,
statistical and numerical analysis - liaise with other specialists in the
support to project teams - provide training in applied statistics to meet
the need for basic knowledge among staff Education and experience:
• Educational background at graduate or research level in a discipline
relevant to mathematical statistics - Experience in problem solving relevant
to industrial applications is a merit - Experience in training statistics at
basic level is a merit Success factors: Your ability to work
and communicate with other members of the project teams is key to the success of
your input to the project work. Building an understanding of the various needs
associated with the drug development will be of key importance in influencing
and introducing powerful statistical tools.
