Background
Epidemiological research at the School of Medical Sciences involves using large cohort and record linkage studies. This material is used across research groups in Örebro, so we are seeking someone who can help us to use these resources across a variety of projects concerned with physical or mental health.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include discussing and planning data needs and analysis with researchers and then with involvement in extracting, preparing, and analysing the data. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate further in some projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should have graduated in a discipline with training in quantitative methods. Key aspects of the job include data handling, and statistical analysis. Knowledge of research in the areas of health and disease is desirable. Experience of statistical software, such as SPSS, Stata or SAS, is essential. Research or research support experience is desirable, but more recently qualified applicants may be considered if they can demonstrate competence.
Close attention will be paid to your personal qualities, your ability to perform duties autonomously, your interpersonal skills and ability to cooperate, as well as your ability to relate to people in a way that inspires trust and confidence.
We expect you to be flexible and open to change with the ability to assume a quality-conscious and responsible approach towards your duties.

The position is a full-time and fixed-term for two years in the first instance.
The salary depends on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
