Statistician
The Biometrics team in Uppsala is responsible for statistical expertise within the ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which is located in Uppsala (SWE) and Freiburg (GER). The team, which today includes three statisticians, is part of the Project Management Department within the Global R&D function. The division is currently in an expansive phase and we therefore need to add one more statistician to the team.
The work includes supporting our global organization with statistical expertise in a variety of activities related to immunodiagnostic assays with focus on product development, technical operation, quality control, and manufacturing, as well as clinical evaluations, regulatory submissions and other investigations.
Working as a statistician within IDD offers first-hand insight and frontier knowledge on allergy and autoimmunity in a vibrant research and production environment that presents a wide spectrum of problems with a varying degree of statistical and computational complexity.
Qualifications
• University degree in statistics or mathematical statistics (min. 60 points statistics, i.e. 90 ECTS credits). Higher academic education is a merit.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages R and/or SAS.
• Very good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English. German is a merit.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment on multiple projects.
• Statistical consulting skills combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Working experience in the life science field or industry is a merit.
