At Menzies Aviation, we believe that the service provided in the air should be matched by the service received on the ground.At more than 200 airport locations across 6 continents, we offer landside and airside services tailored to our customers' needs; timed to their schedules; and delivered by teams with the knowledge, tools and passion to set standards rather than chase them.Our core services include; Ground Handling, Cargo, Fuelling, Executive Services and Offline Services.As our current station manager is taking on a new scope of responsibilities within our network, we are now looking for a new station manager to join our team at Arlanda airport: Reporting to the VP Scandinavia, the station manager is accountable for the business continuity, operational and financial performance as well as the safe & secure operations at Arlanda airport. The station's customer base is multiple with a wide variety and complexity of operations and product offering, although the principal services provided are cargo and ground handling. The station manager must maintain a high level of staff engagement and motivation as well as good customer relations.Main accountabilities include* Budget and P&L responsibility* Planning, organisation and direction of operational and commercial activities at the station* Development of policies and procedures designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the station* Ensuring service delivery to customer airlines is in accordance with airline contracts, and within the agreed budget level.* Ensuring safety and security procedures are according to standards set within the Menzies network, Health & Safety Policy Manual, and according to international aviation standards.* Monitoring performance, and taking action to correct any shortfalls.* Liaising with airline station managers, airport operations management, handling agents, customs, immigration, and security officials, union officials, and other airport stakeholders.* Providing reports as required and service delivery measurements.* Providing leadership to the team and developing their skills.* Negotiating contracts with airlines and staff agreements with union officialsQualifications and Experience* 5+ years of general management experience and ability to lead by example.* Substantial management experience in the Aviation sector.* Proficient knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.* Passionate about promoting safety & security standards as well as high quality services within the organisation.* Strong business acumen with a firm grasp of financial practices.* Proven track record on P&L accountability. Budget-responsible and driven to achieve results.* SLA driven to meet customer expectations by delivering excellence.* A strong sense of stakeholder engagement. This includes, but is not limited to: Customer Portfolio, Airport Representatives, Local CM, local third party providers.* Ability to develop the management team, provide succession planning and re-engineer business processes as demanded by changes in the business.* Ability to drive and deliver improvement plans and the relevant follow up process.* Ability to identify productivity efficiency or inefficiency and tailor the operational demand based on the operational dynamics within the station.* Adaptability with regards to working with a multi-national workforce, and collaborating well with local working unions.* Knowledge of local labour legislation is an advantage.* Good knowledge of ramp GSE.* Proactive approach to problem solving.* Flexibility around working days and hours.Under the Airport Security Act we conduct background record checks on all employees.Working Hours: Full timeDuration: Permanent (6 months probation)Start: as per agreementPlease send us your application no later than the 26th of May 2019.
