Volvo Group Corporate Standards are now looking for a Standard Parts expert

The Corporate Standards department is a Volvo Group-common resource organized within Group Trucks Technology, with the mission to secure quality and reduce product costs through standardization. Our stakeholders are mainly product development departments within the Volvo Group and Volvo Car Corporation. We develop standards and provide training in connection with the developed standards in close cooperation with our stakeholders.
We are now looking for a Standard Parts expert.
The challenge you will meet is to handle complexity - the opportunity is global networking with colleagues from all Volvo Group Business areas to reach results! You will work in close collaboration with colleagues from Trucks, Construction Equipment, Penta and Buses, as well as Volvo Cars. You will be part of an enthusiastic team of experts in a wide range of technical areas.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the work with standard parts at Volvo Corporate Standards
• Represent Corporate Standards in different Volvo Group forums in your area of expertise
• Develop and maintain Volvo Group standards in your area of expertise
• Recommend/provide advice to product developers in the various Volvo Group Business Areas on what parts to use in different designs
• Support purchasing and aftermarket in standard parts-related questions

Profile
• MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Expert knowledge in the area of standard parts, preferably with a focus on fasteners
• Experience from Product Development is required
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Swedish
• Knowledge in CATIA V5 and/or CREO is a merit
• Experience from Manufacturing and Purchasing is a plus
• We think you are a good communicator, have a positive attitude and enjoy networking in international, cross-functional and multicultural teams.
