This is a key role at one of the top business schools in Europe where internationalization is highly-valued.
In this newly formed role, you will work with both strategic and operational tasks, overseeing a small team on daily basis. Furthermore, you will be encouraged to take initiative and develop new ways of working.
The role
As the new SSE Corporate & Alumni Engagement Manager, your key focus will be to develop and deliver the engagement strategy for both corporate partners and alumni while working with the Head of Development & Alumni Relations and the Head of Corporate Relations. Your work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all aspects of corporate and alumni engagement events and initiatives.
- Coordinating and overseeing activities within External Relations that impact corporate partners and alumni.
- Working closely with SSE departments and units to ensure a positive and seamless alumni experience.
- Monitoring and managing the alumni relations budget with the primary objectives of delivering robust alumni programming and engagement while staying within approved budget parameters.
- Providing daily support and guidance to two alumni relations project managers. There is no formal personnel responsibility, but operational leader responsibility.
Your profile
You are a driven, structured and communicative leader with strong collaborative skills. Furthermore, you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, can keep a realistic perspective in stressful situations and understand business principles.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience working with similar responsibilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
Meritorious:
- Experience in the coordination of events and volunteer activities in a higher education setting is highly desirable.
- Work experience from an educational setting.
Your new workplace
As our new SSE Corporate & Alumni Engagement Manager, you will be a part of SSE's largest unit, External Relations, which is composed of five teams. You will be a part of a high-performing team within External Relations: the Corporate, Development and Alumni Relations (CDA). The CDA team within External Relations supports the School's strategic objectives by building and maintaining mutually beneficial and productive relationships with its corporate partners, alumni and friends.
