We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team of design specialists in the SSAB Knowledge Service Center. Our main task is to contribute to SSABs business with knowledge on how to best use high strength steel in developing lighter, stronger and more sustainable structures made of SSAB steel products. Placement Borlänge or Oxelösund.
About the position
As a part of our team you will work in a global environment taking care of a wide variety of issues related to strength and structural integrity. You will work together with SSAB customers in development projects, but also participate in research activities at our laboratory or in collaboration with universities and institutes. You will also participate in educations, give seminars and meet with customers all over the world.
The position includes travels all over the world.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a person who holds a M.Sc. or higher in solid mechanics, mechanical engineering, science of materials or equivalent. In addition experience in fatigue, lightweight design or product development within SSAB customer segments is advantageous.
You need to have proficiency in English and additional languages are qualifying.
As a person you need to have a genuine interest in the technical field, a humble approach and strong communication skills.
